«Metro» gallery
The first photo gallery of Moscow metro was opened at Vystavochnaya on December 23, 2005. The photo gallery was called «Presentation of the World» and contained photos made by a famous journalist, observer of «Novaya Gazeta» Yury Rost. It is going to be a permanent exhibition and the photos are going to be changed several times a year.
Yury Rost was the first photographer to exhibit his collection of photos called «Presentation of the World» in Moscow metro. The collection involves best landscapes and unique works of the famous photographer and journalist.
The photo gallery is located along the pedestrian balcony constructed over the tracks at Vystavochnaya station. Delovoy Tsentr is a new modern station of Moscow Metro. It is situated on the lower storey of Moscow International business centre «Moscow-City» close to «Expocentre» exhibition complex.
All the station space is divided into three differently-coloured zones: transport, pedestrian-promenade, exhibition and information. The newly-opened exhibition made Vystavochnaya station not only the easiest and the most comfortable way to get to the business centre of the capital, but also a place representing modern art.
Representatives of the Moscow Government, as well as famous artists, journalists and honorary guests partook in the solemn inauguration ceremony. The famous photographer and journalist Yury Rost exhibited the second series of his photographs called «Birds» later on.
