In accordance with Moscow metro regulations, filming is not permitted in Moscow metro, unless authorized by metro administration. Filming and taking photographs using stationery equipment and professional cameras (body height over 140 mm and/or lens length over 100 mm) is permitted in the territory of Moscow metro. Payment is made through a bank after signing the contract. Filming for the news in the media may be done free of charge. The permission delivered by metro authorities enables to perform the filming. To obtain the permission, send a letter on the company’s letterhead to the head of Moscow metro Dmitry Gaev (at least 30 days before the date of shooting). Please send the abovementioned documents to this fax: (495) 631-37-44 (telephone (495) 688-02-91) and state the following::
purpose of the filming; filming location; approximate date and time of filming; duration of shooting; number of people in the crew; contact telephone number; name in full and position of the person in charge of the filming; precise description of the scenes planned to be shot in metro, a storyboard and information about the equipment used for filming.
The staff of Moscow metro PR department will get in touch with the person responsible for shooting within 5-10 working days and advise him on further actions. Amateur photography (without using stationery equipment and professional cameras, permitted body height - under 140 mm and/or lens length under 100 mm) in Moscow metro is not prohibited and therefore no permission is necessary.
