Important information you should know in the event of an emergency
If you lose property in metro please contact lost-and-found office of Moscow metro.
If you drop anything on the rails, immediately address a station duty manager or a policeman for help.

If you fall on a track, you are not injured and can walk - rise and go to the beginning of the platform. You will see a black and white lath on the track. Stand past this lath – it’s a safe place. Wait for a metro worker: he will assist you to get out of the tunnel. If you fall on a track, get hurt and see the approaching train – lie down between the rails with your head towards the train, face down and try not to move to ensure your safety. In this case the train will not hurt you even if it passes over you. Remain in this position till a train driver or a station duty manager comes to help you. It is important that you should not hide under the passenger platform or try to get to the platform because the contact rail running along the edge of the platform has 825V of direct current and it’s enough to kill instantly if approached or touched.

If an escalator suddenly stops, follow the instructions given by the escalator attending staff – stay where you are and hold the handrails if it’s a short stop, and walk along the escalator if it’s a long stop.
If you see a passenger fall on the escalator or his things get stuck in the escalator immediately stop the escalator pulling an emergency «Stop» handle at the balustrade and contact the escalator attending staff.
