Opening date: 31.12.1965 The station was opened when the line was extended northwards.
Station design: shallow three-vaulted pillar-type station built to a standard design. The station features two rows of 40 columns. Line section between Preobrazhnskaya Ploshchad’ and Sokol’niki runs on a bridge which is 330 metres over the Yauza river.

Track walls are lined with white and green tiles. The station features square pillars faced with greenish marble and grey and red granite floor.
Exit to: Preobrazhenskaya ploshchad’, ulitsa Stromynka, Bolshaya Cherkizovskaya ulitsa, Krasnobogatyrskaya ulitsa and Preobrazhensky val.
