PREOBRAZHENSKAYA PLOSHCHAD’

Opening date: 31.12.1965
The station was opened when the line was extended northwards.

Station design: shallow three-vaulted pillar-type station built to a standard design.
The station features two rows of 40 columns.
Line section between Preobrazhnskaya Ploshchad’ and Sokol’niki runs on a bridge which is 330 metres over the Yauza river.

Station architect: N.Dyomchinsky
Design engineer: G.Suvorov

   Track walls are lined with white and green tiles. The station features square pillars faced with greenish marble and grey and red granite floor.

   Exit to: Preobrazhenskaya ploshchad’, ulitsa Stromynka, Bolshaya Cherkizovskaya ulitsa, Krasnobogatyrskaya ulitsa and Preobrazhensky val.
