Opening date: 15.05.1935
The station was opened as a part of the first Moscow metro line section

Station design: two-vaulted pillar-type shallow cast-in-situ station built to a standard design.

Station architects: B.Vilensky, V.Yershov, assisted by L.Shagurina
Design engineer: V.Dmitriev
Artist: Yakov Romas

   The station has a row of ten-sided columns which are faced with brown and yellow Bijuk-yanka marbled limestone. The upper part of the track walls is lined with yellow glazed tiles and the lower part is covered with red glazed tiles. The floor is made of white marble.

Exit to: Krasnoprudnaya ulitsa, Rusakovskaya ulitsa, Nizhnyaya Krasnoselskaya ulitsa and Verkhnyaya Krasnoselskaya ulitsa.
