Opening date: 12.01.1959
The station was opened as a part of line section between Sportivnaya and Universitet.

Station design: three-vaulted deep-level station with pylons.

Station architects: L.Lilie, V.Litvinov, Ì.Markovsky, V.Dobrokovsky
Vestibule architects: N.Bykova, I.Taranov, assisted by Yu.Cherepanov
Design engineer: Î.Barteneva

   The station is located near Moscow State University complex on Vorob’evy Gory.
   The station features massive pylons of pale marble, track walls lined with white and black glazed tiles and granite floor of grey and pink colour. The corridor leading from the station to Prospekt Vernadskogo are lined with red marble and the floor is made of grey granite.

   Exit to: prospect Vernadskogo and Lomonosovsky prospekt.
