Opening date: 31.08.1965 / 07.01.2008 (new platform) The station was opened as a part of Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line. Station design: overground station. Station architect: A.Vigdorov The station got its name after the district where it is located. Kuntsevskaya station, which formerly made a part of Filyovskaya line, became part of Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya new line section. The new transfer was constructed under Rublyovsky crossover. The new station was constructed in parallel with the old one. Both platforms have the length of 162 metres. The station features two-level vestibules. Three flights of stairs lead from the upper ticket hall to each of the platforms, and the transfer will be constructed at a lower level, joining the platforms only by two flights of stairs. A flight of stairs will make a connection between the transfer and the vestibule. The vestibules of the station also feature elevators for the handicapped. The columns are made of in-situ reinforced concrete, while the walls are foam-concrete tiled by panels of composite materials, aluminum and natural stone.
