Distance between columns – 9 metres Myakinino is the first station of Moscow metro located outside Moscow city. It’s situated in Krasnogorsk district of Moscow region close to the new headquarters of the Moscow region administration.
The initial project did not provide for the construction of a metro station in the area. However, rapid development of the area as well as the construction of Crocus Expo international exhibition centre and such hypermarkets as Auchan, Leroy Merlin, Crocus City Mall and the offices of Moscow region administration brought changes to the project.
It’s the first time a public-private partnership principle was applied in station construction. The construction of the station was funded by the company Crocus International.
The station features island platforms and three vestibules and it is integrated in the multi-storey car park. Two of the station exits lead outside, another two exits lead to underground pedestrian walkways, and two more exits connect the station with the exhibition centre. Each of the three vestibules has access to both platforms.
The station is isolated from the multi-storey car park which complies with fire safety regulations and provides for autonomous work of station and parking area. Exit to: Expo-1 and Expo-2 exhibition complexes, headquarters of the Moscow region administration, Tvoi Dom trade centre, Crocus City Mall.
