The station was opened as a part of a line section between Prospekt Mira and VDNKH.
Station design: three-vaulted pylon-type deep-level station built to the standard design.

The vault of the spacious station hall is supported by 18 pylons faced with white marble. The floor is paved with grey and red granite. The station is lit by cut-glass chandeliers.
Exit to: Prospekt Mira, Ostankinsky proyezd and ulitsa Kosmonavtov.
