Opening date: 31.12.1966 The station was opened as a part of a line section between Vykhino and Taganskaya.
Station design: three-vaulted column-type shallow station built to the standard project. The station features two rows of 40 columns.

The station is named for the namesake railway platform which is located nearby. The station features grey marble columns and pink floor made of granite and labradorite. The track walls are faced with blue and red stemalite and have an aluminum frame. The west vestibule is a building made of glass, while the east vestibule is situated under ground.
