SERPUKHOVSKO-TIMIRYAZEVSKAYA LINE

POLYANKA
see all stations of this line

Opening date: 23.01.1986
The station was opened as a part of a line section between Serpukhovskaya and Borovitskaya.

Station design: pillar-type three-vaulted deep-level station.

Station architects: М.Trenin, S.Sevastyanov
Vestibule architect: М.Trenin
Design engineer: Е.Barsky

The station features white marble track walls and gray granite floor. It looks austere because of the anodized aluminum panels. The dome-shaped vault makes the station look like a temple. The halogen lighting fixtures in the station hall are concealed behind the wall cornices.
The end of the hall features a ceramic sculpture of a young family (artist S.Goryainov).

Way out:
via the south vestibule (opens at 5:40) up the escalators to ulitsa Bolshaya Polyanka, Malaya Polyanka, Staromonetny pereulok, Brodnikov pereulok.
