Opening date: 28.12.1995
The station was opened as a part of a line section between Chkalovskaya and Volzhskaya.

Station design: single-vaulted shallow cast-in-situ station.

Station architects: А.Vigdorov, L.Borzenkov
Design engineers: S.Kemezh, E.Khanukova, D.Savelieva

   The station is named for the nearby district.
   The theme of the station décor is automobile design (the oldest Moscow car market is located close to the station). The station hall is faced with different types of marble, and the track walls and the escalator shaft are lined with aluminum plates. The track walls gradually form the vault with unusual lighting fixtures of red metal. The floor is paved with gray granite.

Way out:
   via the south vestibule (opens at 5:37) up the escalators to Yuzhnoportovaya ulitsa, 5 Kozhukhovskaya ulitsa, ulitsa Trofimova.
