Opening date: 19.06.2010 The station was opened as a second stage of Luiblinsko-Dmitrovskaya line construction. Station design: three-vaulted station with columns. Station architects: L.Popov,N.Rasstegnyaeva Designer: I.Nikolaev Dostoevskaya station is located at Suvorovskaya ploshchad. The great Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky was born in that area, therefore the station bears his name and features scenes from his works. The station hall features austere geometrical pylons, black and white flooring of heat-treated granite and white vaults. The walls and the pylons of the station are faced with marble and granite of different types. They are also decorated with black and white Florentine mosaics that depict the scenes from Dostoevsky’s works. The vaults of the station are covered with waterproof fiberglass and the lighting is hidden in the elements of this fiberglass cover. Later on, the station will be an interchange for Ploshchad Suvorova station. The latter will be built right on the Circle line between the existing Novoslobodskaya and Prospekt Mira stations. Exit to: Seleznyovskaya ulitsa, Samotyochnaya ulitsa, Suvorovskaya ploshchad, Russian Army theatre, Slavyanka hotel.
